Check out this recipe from local muscian and hot sauce pioneer, Johnny Hetherington. Perfect to prep in the morning to enjoy later for dinner this weekend. Here’s his instructions:
Sea salt and crack pepper on both sides of a rack of pork ribs. Normally I go baby back but this time the side ribs looked better.
Into the oven at 425 for 20 min.
Turn the heat down to 190 and slow cook them for as long as possible. 8 hours is ideal.
About an hour before they come out paint them with your favorite BBQ sauce mixing in a good dose of Pineapple Habanero Hot Sauce.
To serve, slice the ribs, toss them in the same sauce, pile and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion slices.
Serve with a blue cheese or ranch dip and another bowl of Pineapple Habanero Sauce.
Essential Ribs, Voila!
Ps. This is my winter recipe, in the summer I do the exact same thing over charcoal and mesquite.
